About the founder
My name is Dushwan Dickerson, and I am the heart and hands behind this nonprofit. Inspired by my mother's passion for art, I have dedicated my life to exploring various creative disciplines, including home design & decor, photography, pottery, wood working, resin, acrylic and oil paintings. These many disciplines have helped me to connect with the healing power of art. Regardless of the medium used, my passion for art lies in crafting magical moments for people to cherish.
Our story
Swans Art Foundation grew from a passion to create magical, one-of-a-kind moments and a family commitment to give back to the community. Our slogan, "The Uplift Project: Building a space for artistic expression" embodies our mission to provide accessible art programs, safe spaces, and opportunities for community celebration.
At Swans Art Foundation, we envision a future where individuals of all ages, especially those in poverty-stricken areas, can access art as a tool for growth, joy, healing, and self-expression. Whether it’s through hands-on workshops, public art projects, or event planning services, we’re here to help you celebrate life and create something extraordinary together.
