About the founder
My name is Dushwan Dickerson, founder of Swan Art Foundation.
Inspired by my mother's love for art, I have spent years exploring creative disciplines including pottery, photography, painting, woodworking, resin art, and home design. Along the way, I discovered that art is about much more than creating beautiful things—it has the power to heal, inspire, and transform lives.
The swan in our name is deeply personal. It represents a journey of becoming and reminds us that every person has unique gifts waiting to be discovered.
That belief is the heart of Swan Art Foundation. Through creativity, we create opportunities for people to find healing, build confidence, discover their purpose, and create lives filled with joy.

Swan Art Foundation was founded on the belief that creativity has the power to transform lives. We believe art is more than something we make—it's a pathway to healing, confidence, connection, and discovering the unique gifts within each of us.
Our mission is to uplift communities by creating welcoming spaces where people of all ages can explore their creativity, experience joy, and find a sense of belonging. Through hands-on workshops, community art projects, and creative events, we strive to make art accessible to everyone, especially those who may not otherwise have the opportunity.
Every brushstroke, photograph, sculpture, and piece of pottery tells a story. More importantly, every person has a story worth telling.
